History

Live & Dance Strong was established in the memory of my father, Richard J. Randall, former President of the University of Maine at Augusta. My father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July of 2006 and passed a way two short years later.  Our first production in July 2009 was a rousing success and raised $10,000 which we donated to the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care in my father’s memory.   We have teamed up with the Marlee Fund to establish a scholarship fund for aspiring dancers in the State of Maine.  The scholarship fund is a great opportunity for Maine dancers to pursue their passion of dance performance while easing some of the financial burden. Each summer’s performance is a wonderful opportunity for choreographers and dancers alike to come together and deliver a unique dance experience.

Please consider joining us this summer for what is going to be a wonderful tribute to a man that touched so many and desired to give to many more. We can give for him in the most beautiful way…by dancing!

Lovingly,

Melanie
