Adele Fisk is 12 years old and has been dancing for 7 years. She studies ballet at The Ballet School, with Jessica Holloway and at Portland Ballet School. Adele uses her dance as meditation. “In the studio everything bad that has ever happened to me is sent flying out the window by the flick of my spot or the kick of my leg. Dance, is my outlet.” She believes she deserves this scholarship because “I need to push my studies, not because I am already very good at what I do but because I want to get better in it.” Adele will use this scholarship to help pay for a summer intensive.
